How to Order a Repeat Prescription
The doctors will not usually issue a prescription without seeing you. An exception is if you are on continuing treatment and have been given a “repeat prescription slip” which is a list of medication that you may ask for without seeing the doctor each time. You may deliver this to the surgery, post it to us or order on-line via the following methods:
We do not accept telephone requests.
Prescriptions are normally issued for a month’s supply at a time. You should still see the doctor from time to time for review. Prescriptions may be collected from the pharmacy 3-4 days after the request is received.
If you wish to take the prescription to a different pharmacy it can be issued to your nominated pharmacy electronically or a paper prescription may be collected from the surgery. The telephone number for the pharmacy in Tisbury is 01747 870264.
We prescribe using NHS Electronic Prescribing System. This means that when we issue a prescription, instead of having a piece of paper which has to be taken from the surgery to the pharmacy, the information is sent electronically. This removes the delays that can sometimes happen when at busy times, and also makes it much easier for patients who use other pharmacies.
