Live within our boundary area?

We welcome new patients to the surgery who reside within the catchment area. You can check if you are within our catchment area by entering your postcode below.

New Patient Registration

You may register with the Practice so long as you are going to be living within the area covered by the practice for more than three months. Temporary registration is available for shorter periods if you need medical care. You will be asked to fill in a registration form. If you wish to have access to our online services you will need to provide us with valid photo ID. We ask that all new patients see the practice nurse for a “new patient check” when you have registered.

Temporary Residents

You will be asked to attend the practice and bring photo ID with you. This is to ensure, for safety reasons, that we are temporarily registering the correct person. If you do not have photo ID then please discuss what other forms of ID will be acceptable with the receptionist.

Named GP

We are now required under the General Medical Services contract to inform all of our patients who their named, accountable GP is. This will be your usual GP, although you can request to see any doctor in the surgery.

Seeing a doctor

You may express a preference as to which doctor you would like to see (in accordance with paragraph 18 of schedule 6 of the GP Contract). However we urge you to return to the same doctor for good continuity of care.  Please ask the receptionist for an appointment with the doctor of your choice, although not all doctors will be available on any particular day.
