Covid Vaccinations
We are hoping that we can offer a covid vaccination to all eligible patients at Tisbury surgery when patients come to receive their flu vaccination.
This is dependent upon a supply of vaccine reaching us as (unlike flu vaccinations where we order the vaccination for our patients almost a year in advance) we are reliant on allocation from a central source.
There has been considerable publicity about the circulation of a new serious strain of the virus so please consider in advance whether you would like to receive this vaccination at the same time as the annual flu vaccination. NHS England advice is that these two vaccines may be given together, but we will not be offering any other vaccinations, such as shingles, pneumococcal etc. at these clinics.
Please also be prepared to read carefully the screening questions which will be given to you on your arrival and be aware that there may be delays as the clinical and administrative processes will be more complicated than is usual at our flu clinics.
We would ask you not to be impatient with any surgery staff as many are kindly working extra shifts and at weekends to ensure these vaccines can be given to our more elderly and vulnerable patients as early as possible.
