How to Request a Home Visit
Home visits are reserved for housebound patients only. If you visit the shops, bank or hospital etc. then you are not housebound and must be seen in the surgery.
On the rare occasion where someone is too sick to get to the surgery and doesn’t need to go to accident & emergency then a visit would be considered for a non-housebound patient. In the first instance you would be added to the visit request list and a doctor will call you to assess the need for a visit.
Please phone between 8.00am and 9.30am when possible and be prepared to give the receptionist as much detail of the illness as possible. The doctors fit these visits in around their scheduled routine work.
However please always come to the surgery rather than asking for a visit if you can. The local Link Scheme (07484 284670) or Tisbus (07500 802525) may be able to help if you have transport difficulties. Tisbus has a free service the “Friday Shopping Bus” that picks people up from around the area to bring them into Tisbury. Contact them on the number above for details.
