Pharmacy Technician

We are looking for motivated and passionate pharmacy technicians to join our expanding medicines optimisation team. We can offer an incredibly rewarding role, with an excellent work-life balance. We are extremely fortunate to be able to call upon the vast skill and experience of our Lead Pharmacist, Maria Smale, to support the development and training of successful applicants.

VIEW THE PROFILE OF MARIA SMALE

Dr Adam Smith, of Tisbury Surgery, is the GP liaison to our Primary Care Network (PCN) - Sarum West. He is passionate about what a medicines optimisation team can accomplish working within primary care, such as streamlining the primary and secondary care interface for example.

We have several positions available, as the government has steadily increased our funding and we are hoping to recruit pharmacy technicians from various backgrounds with wide ranging experience including, but not limited to, community pharmacy, secondary/tertiary care and community mental health services.

We can offer flexible and remote working with full-time or part-time hours. There will be no expectations to work night shifts or bank holidays and only very occasional weekend working might be requested to deliver mass vaccination of influenza/Covid, perhaps one or two Saturdays per year. Leave requests are almost always granted due to the nature of the way we work, especially with enough notice.

This opportunity is unique, in that successful applicants will have high levels of autonomy, be expected to manage their own workload and have a major influence to shape a new evolving area of pharmacy within primary care.
